He Has Risen
Howdy, Neighbor. People have been telling Phil he’s a good storyteller for a long time… so we are trying something new and pretty-much non-sales Just sharing occasional sweet stories, tall tales, and life lessons learned around these parts. Northwoods Notes are a new, semi-bi-irregular peek into the heart and mind of Phil Frasier… you can read or listen… whichever you prefer… and you are receiving a copy because you’re a current customer of Frasier’s Plumbing and Heating, Inc. Read:
As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’
Mark 16:5-7
The resurrection is more than just a happy ending.
The resurrection gives us hope.
The resurrection gives us life.
The resurrection is what makes Jesus different than any other person that walked the face of the earth.
The resurrection allows you and me to have a personal relationship with the living King.
My faith means everything to me. Knowing the Creator of the universe is there with me in everything I do, every word I say, every choice I make. I can’t audibly hear his voice, but I know He’s always speaking words of love and encouragement in my heart.
Wherever I go, He is there.
That’s probably why I enjoy the outdoors so much. In nature, I can see His handiwork and I can sense His presence.
He’s here. Every moment. Everywhere.
Without Jesus’ death and resurrection, there’s no Christianity… there’s no Easter… and there’s no hope.
But he was true to his promise.
He has risen. He is alive.
Now THAT’S a happy ending.
Take care, neighbor. Take good care.
P.S. – Today is also special because it’s my daughter’s birthday. She and I share a love for a particular Easter treat. Happy Birthday Megan… and stay out of my Peeps.
